Dip the cheese cloth in the dressing, remove excess and spread sparingly but thoroughly over the leather surfaces on the outside of the book. Do not attempt to dress the small areas of leather on the insides of the boards.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCare must be taken to ensure that the dressing does not come into contact with any part of the book other than the leather, as greasy stains will result.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLeave the book 24 – 48 hours depending on how absorbent the leather is, and then remove the excess with cheese cloth and polish the book.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis treatment should be repeated approximately every five years to keep the leather supple.
