Welcome to Conservation Supplies

Since 1984, Conservation Supplies has been helping people in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands protect the things that matter most — the documents, photographs, artworks, and objects that carry our stories forward.

We supply museums, galleries, libraries and archives, alongside anyone who recognises the importance of preservation: bookbinders, picture framers, photographers, and family historians. We help a diverse range of people - from family historians preserving a single treasured book to national institutions preparing for a major collection rehousing.

What we do

We import and manufacture museum-grade archival materials — from acid-free boards and conservation tapes to specialist adhesives and polyester films. Our range covers the essentials and the hard-to-find.

Where an off-the-shelf solution doesn't suit, we design and build bespoke products to suit your specific requirements. Our team has decades of experience constructing custom enclosures, boxes, and storage solutions that give your most treasured items the protection they deserve.

Why it matters

Every item we help preserve is a piece of someone's story — a family's history, a community's identity, a nation's heritage. We take that responsibility seriously, and it shapes everything we do: the materials we choose, the advice we offer, and the relationships we build with our customers.

Don't just take our word for it — our customers are our best advocates, and their TESTIMONIALS speak for themselves.
